no alteration in the mutton market since last week. There is a better tone in the

lamb market. The average price for New Zealand lamb, Canterbury brand, is jd ; New Zealand lamb other than Canterbury, 4 7 Sthsd. The beef market is firm. The stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light. New Zealand hinds are at 5 3-Sthsd, fores 411. The hemp market is firm. The price to day for good and fair Wellington grade on spot is L 34, September and November shipments L3i 10s. RETURNING OFFICERS.
