THREATENING LETTERS.
THE CASE OF THE MAN MOORE,
TO BE MEDICALLY EXAMINED,
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. T. Moore, who last week pleaded guilty to sending threatening Jotters to Sir Joseph Ward, was brought beforo tho Supreme Court to-day. Evidence was called by counsel for tho prisoner as to tho latter’s good character, and to show that his letter had only been writton with a view to directing immediate attention to a report on moat oxport which ho had submitted to Government.
Sir Joseph Ward gave evidmmn that thero had been no dcsiro to koop Moore's report back. As a matter of fact, it was a very intelligent report, and had boon sont to the Government printer. His Honor said it would be necessary for him to know something more about Moore. Ho wanted to havo him medically examined, and also would liko to havo somo information about tbo faithhealing propaganda prisoner had recently beon carrying on. Tho caso was adjourned for a week, Moore in the monntimo to bo oxaminod by doctors, and the Probation Officor to prepare a report for His Honor.
