FATAL CHARCOAL FUMES.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Mastcrton, last night. Two Maoris were found dead in a Bhed at To Wliaiti, a few miles from hero, and two others lying in a critical state, through inhaling tho fumes of charcoal. It appears that they went fishing on Friday, and wore allowed b.y a settlor of Gladstone, named to sleep in his cheese-house, with ono small window. To keep themselves warm, they placed a drum full of charcoal embers in the room, and, though warned by Gresham, said they wero used it. Yesterday, some Maoris visited tho shed and discovered what had happened. One survivor was in a critical state. Tho other is likely to recover.
