TRAINING NOTES. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. At Riccarton this morning a largo number of horses were worked. Royal Conqueror was better than Huku over a mile and a half outside the course proper, run in 2.02]-. Scottish Minstrel got over a round of the hurdles well. Cora Linn finished better than "Bill Perkins over a strongly-run six furlongs, Cannongate, Slaiden, Wilson, and Straybird (ridden by Morrigan) went twico round the big jumps. Cannongate ran off at the double the first time, and in trying to do the same the second time sent Straybird off, otherwise both would have jumped well. Good Spec and Antigone left six furlongs behind in 1.22. Titoki and Single Shot ran over four furlongs on the plough in 54secs. Regalaums and Wire Gun did tho same distance in 55see. Other horses that worked strongly were Somerled, Wind Whistle, Djiu-Djin, Dirk, Tercelet, Glenaladale, Golden Vein, Lolah, Bombardo, Bill Perkins, Pipi, Tuflo, Zither, Cerise and Blue, Turgeniff, Caliver, Solder, dud Wonderful.
