The match between the Hawke’s Bay Juniors and the Wairarapa Thursday Union fifteen, played at Carterton to-day, resulted in a win for Wairarapa by 6 points (two tries) to 4 points (a goal from a mark). The visitors were much the lighter, and failed (o show to advantage on the attack, but wore good on defence. Carpenter and Carlislo scored for Wairarapa, and Hunt kicked a goal, from a mark by Connor, for Hawke’s Bay. Now Plymouth, last night. Tho football team to represent Taranaki was picked to-night, as follows : —Fullback, Hunter; three-quarters, George, Dr. Fookes, Hardgravos ; five-eighth, Mynot; half, Humphries ; wings, Bullock and Guy; forwards, O’Sullivan, Loveridge, GJenn, O’Dowda, Glasgow, Thomas, and Pihama.
