By Telegraph—Pross Association—Copyright Sydney, July 11. Somo of tho State Governmont buildings could not be illuminated, owing to a higli wind preventing the use of gas. The weather was fine to-day, but it is raining to-night. Tho illuminations were repeated. There was a bettor display, a lull in the wind allowing the gaß at Parliament Houses and other Stuto buildings to be lighted.

Melbourne, July 11. The chief Federal buildings were brilliantly illuminated ; otherwise tho display was very moderate.

Brisbane, July 11. There was a grand fireworks display last night. Tho illuminations will be repeated on the remaining nights of the week.
