RUSSIA'S COMPETITION IN THE MEAT TRADE. By Telegraph -Press Association—Copyright St. .Petersburg, July 10. The Minister of Finance has granted 170,000 roubles to a syndicate exporting meat. It is expected to ship 80,000 cattle annually. Messrs Dalgety and Co., have received the following cablegram from their Loudon house, dated 9th inst.: "At the wool sales prices arc on the average par to 5 per cent, lower than tho closing rates of last sales. Tallow : Since our last cablegram medium and inferior is unchanged. Prices are in favor of buyers. Market quiet, hardly any business doing.”
