By Tetograph—Pres? Association —Copyright London, July 2.
Mr Beddon has instructed the Contingent to remain until the end of August. At the Bouchers’ dinner at tiro Temple, Premier Barton said that lie hoped to retain the Colonial troops if the prospect of Coronation was sufficiently early to enable that arrangement.
It is announced that the Coronation is to he much quieter than originally intended, but the religious character will bo more strongly emphasised. There will be fewer foreign representations, except nearer connections of Royalty.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have greatly relieved the Sovereign of social functions.
