BAND ROTUNDA SITE.
REQUISITION TO THE MAYOR. The following requisition has been received by His Worship the Mayor in regard to the question of the band rotunda site : Mayor : As the matter of the site of the band rotunda, which has been decided upon as a coronation memorial, is of deep interest to all citizens, we beg to request you to call a public meeting, if pessible, on Monday evening nest, at which the wish of the public in this matter may be expressed, or failing a pubic meeting, that a referendum be taken.— J. W. Whinray, T. J. Dickson, C. F. Lewis, H. B. Smith, Hugh Bruce, \V. Morgan, E. P. Joyce, W. Gaudin, G. Smith, F. A. Ford, F. M. Maher, W. Webb, T. Bell, W. T. Larsen, W. J. Cox, B. Robertson, H.Kane, J. J. Martin, J. E. Quinn.” The Mayor requests us to state that it is impossible to convene a public meeting for Monday evening, as both halls are engaged, The final meeting of the Coronation Committee also takes place on that evening, He will bring the matter of the referendum before the Counoil on Tuesday evening, and in the event of that not being decided upon, he will call a public meeting in response to the requisition, 0
