ERUPTION AND EARTHQUAKE.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Suva, June 18. The s.s. Manapouri departed on Sunday, and the Wanaka arrived on Sunday. It is reported that Hunter Island is in eruption, and that there are cracks on the east side of the hill, showing sulphur and smoke. H.M.S. Pylades arrived on Monday. The Hauroto arrived to-day. The Vancouver steamer Miowera is overdue. The Hon. Cyril Irvine has been appointed Attorney-General. Great preparations are being made for the Coronation celebrations. At 1.35 a.m. a slight earthquake was felt in Fiji.
