ADDINGTON MARKET.

RISE IN FREEZERS. [By Telegraph—Press Association]. Christchurch, last night. The Addington sales took place to-day. - Fat cattle: 175 were yarded, mostly heavy -weights. Prices were tbe same as last week, 19s to 245. Primo bullocks, £l2 to £l3 12s 61; good steers. £8 5s to £lO 10s ; lighter, £6 to £8 ; heifers, £5 15s to £8 7s 6d ; cows, £5 5s to £9. Fat sheep; About 80Q0 were yarded, mostly ewes, with a few lines of good quality in wethers. The competition was keen throughout, and anything tit to freeze rose Is per head. Freezing wethers, 163 3d to 19s 61; heavy weights, 19s lid to 20s sd; light aud unfinished, 14s to 16s 3d; crossbred ewes,.best, 12s to 17s 6d; medium, 11s to 12s ; inferior, 83 to 10s. Most of the best ewes were taken for export.

Fat lambs: About 1200 were yarded, including many inferiors, and thero waa good competition for well-finished lots. Freezers brought 11s 4d to 13s 6d; tegs, 13s lid to 14s 4d; unfinished, 7s 8d to 10s 6d.

Store sheep : 5500 were yarded, including some good lines of wethers. Competition for all sorts was irregular, and buyers not being keen, made the market easier. Several lines were passed. Forward wethers brought 10s 9d to 12s lOd ; backward, 8s 9d; good sound ewes, 9s 4d to 93 6d ; aged sorts, 11s ; good lambs, 6s 5d to 8s 7d down to 2s for culls.

Pigs : About 400 were yarded, including a fair entry of fats, but stores were poorly represented. Baconers brought 33s to 455, up to 52s 6d for extra heavy, or B£d to 3fd. Porkers brought 208 to 30s, or 3|d; stores, 14s to 20s; smaller, 5s to 12s.
