Defendants in the meantime were remanded in custody of the police. CORONATION DAY. At a meeting of tho Citizons’ Coronation Day Colobration Committoo it was decided that some elocutionist should recite an ode to bo composed for tho occasion. A committee was appointed to select tho ode, being also empowered to choose tho orator. It was resolved to ask tho Minister for Education to issue an ordor calling upon Education Boards to have the scholars under their jurisdiction assembled at tho respective schools on the morning of Coronation Day for the purpose of saluting the flag and afterwards taking part in tho general celebrations.
