THE WAIHI ROBBERY.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Thames, last night. The young men Cyril Douglas Finn and James Eagar were before the Court this morning charged with breaking and entering the reduction works of the Waihi Company in October,l9ol, and stealing gold-slimes valued at 4700. Mr Cotter appeared on behalf of the prosecu-

tion, and asked for a further remand. No objection was made on behalf of accused, and the Bench adjourned the case for hearing at the Thames on the 30th. The questiqn of bail was not mentioned.

It is stated a large number of witnesses are to be called from the Thames, Waihi, and Waikino districts. Great interest is ti'ken in the case on account of the connections of accused. The Court-house was crowded.
