SUPREME COURT. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Napier, last night. At the Supreme Court to-day, a Native named Te Ao Kati Tohara was found guilty of breaking and entering a store at Wairoa on 22nd March, and was remanded for sentence. A Filipino named Anastoti, alias Mundi Karamea, was acquitted on a charge of horse stealing at Porangahau. His Honor the Chief Justice, in commenting on the evidence, said it was clear that either the accused or one of the witnesses had comrnitted perjury, and it was the duty of the police to find out which story was the true one. . , c James Swan, charged with the theft of a cheque at Dannevirke in 1899, was found guilty, and remanded for sentence.
