SUPPOSED BUBONIC EAT CAUGHT
AT NAPIEE.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 12. Another case of plague is reported. Two Buspieious cases from country districts have occurred, the suspects having lately been in Sydney. Brisbane, May 12. Dr. Maolean, senior resident medical officer at the Brisbane Hospital, has been attaoked by plague. ' His condition is serious. It is supposed he contracted the disease while examining a patient who .died at the hospital gates. Beceived 1.10 a.ui., May 13. Sydney, May 12. Another plague patient has died.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, last night. AVhat is supposed to be a rat suffering from plague has been killed at the Spit. The carcase has been examined by the Health Officer and other medical men. It has been decided not to conduct experiments here in the way of inoculating other aoimals, but to have that done by the central authorities. • Christchurch, last night.
Dr. Mason reports on the suspicious case of the man Shields that he is doing exceedingly well.
