(Per Press Association), CHRISTCHURCH, last night. Tiie Christchurch Hospital 1 Board lias expressed the opinion that it is advisable that all future post mortem examinations at the hospital should be made by medical men not connected with the hospital staff. The expenditure for 1902-3 is estimated to he £II,OOO, of which half Will be contributed by local bodies, and half by subsidies from Government. .The Christchurch hospital is expected to absorb £IO,OOO, Lyttelton hospital £l5O, and the Akaroa hospital £4OO.

The Christchurch Education Board has received applications from 23 female teachers desirous of taking up work in the refugee camps in South Africa. The applications have been forwarded to Wellington,
