NAVAL REVIEW. By. Telegraph—Press Association— * Copyright. LONDON. March 22. One hundred and eighteen ships, restricted to the Channel Reserve Squadron, with those commissioned in the dock yards - , participate in the Naval Review on June 23. The number include eighteen first-class battleships, nine first-class and thirteen second class cruisers, nineteen torpedo gunboats, thirty destroyers, Mirteen training ships, and seven torpedo destroyers. Each vessel is to be out-
lined by thousands of electric lights* simultaneously lighted.
PRESS COMPLAINTS. The newspapers complain that the King’s review will be distinctly inferior to that of Queen Victoria’s* Few new ships will be included. CHINESE REBELLION. In the House of Commons, Lord -y Cranborne, in reply to a question, said that the Chinese reported that the troops at Kwangsi rebelled because their pay was in arrears. COMMONWEALTH TROOPS, The announcement that the Commonwealth is sending another contingent of two thousand men has been received with the greatest gratification., CORONATION TROOPS. The Daily Mail states that two thousand five hundred colonial troops have been invited to attend the Coronation. The Crown colonics are included.; Fiji sends twenty, men, and India a thousand, ALIENS IN LONDON* Lord James Baron Rothschild and Sir Keuelin iiigby, Permanent Undersecretary at the Home Office, have been appointed to inquire into the evils ’of unrestricted immigration of aliens, especially in regard to London, and foreign and colonial aliens restrictive legislation, and recommend remedial precautionary measures,, HOUSE OF LORDS.
The House of Lords adjourns ou April 14th. ;
