ALLEGED THEFT.
INFORMATION LAID BY WORKERS’ UNION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Tiinaru, last night. A shearer named Richardson, alias Shoefield and Rooertson, was before the Court yesterday, charged with stealing a cheque for £l7 ss, at Jnnee, New South Wales, the property of the Australian Workers’ Union. Accused was arrested a few miles out of Timaru, on a warrant issned in New South Wales in 1901. Accused admitted being the man wanted. He was remanded till next week, pending the arrival of the warrant and the con* stable who saw it signed. J
