— IMPROVEMENTS BY GOVERN MENT.

(Special to Times.; Wellington, last night,

As an earnest of the intention of the Health and Tourist Department to improve the accommodation at the Morere Springs, and make them more attractive to visitors, Mr Oorlett, one of the chief officers connected the Rotorua Sanatorium, has been instructed to leave for Morere next Tuesday, in order that he may prepare the necessary plans and estimates for the improvements contemplated. When these are ready the work will bo pushd on with all expedition. Mr Oorlett will also visit Tokoanu, where it is intended to place baths suitable for visitors who desire to prove the curative qualities of the mineral springs there.
