APPEAL TO SEDDON.
RETURNED CONTINGENTERS AND COMMISSIONS.
(Per Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, last night. There was some unpleasantness at the Ninth Contingent Camp yesterday when some members of the returned contingents were brought before the officers in command for signing a memorial to the Right Lion. R. J. Seddon, as Defence Minister, setting out that in the opinion of the memorialists more commissions in the Ninth Contingent should be given to returned members of contingents who were qualified to act as officers. This breach of discipline was at once enquired into, but will have to be gone into more fully at a latei stage.
