At the Supreme Court Thomas Barrett was found guilty of receiving stolon articles ; Alexander Stewart was found guilty of assault, aDd William McEwan also of assault. Sentence in each case was deferred. In the case of Gatehouse, a youth charged with discharging firearms at William McMeekan, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty. NINTH CONTINGENT. The University Senate of Dunedin Degree Committee brought up a report, recommending that Joseph Campbell, M.A., Sydney, be admitted M.A. ; Augustine Edward Joseph Aloysius Keogh, lloyal University of Ireland,, bo admitted 8.A., and William Hurst, B.C. ; L. Durham ho admitted L.L.B. The report was made an order for next day. The report of the

Medical Committee was made an order of the day for the next day. It recommends that the degrees of M.B. and C.H.B. be conferred on Sydney Chalmers Allen ; 8.5. C., James Hamilton and Hall Baillie ; 8.5. C., James Brugh and Andrew John Crawford ; 8.A., Colin Huntly, Gordon William McAra, Jessie Clarkson Maddisou, and Fraud Ferdinand Alfred Ulrich.
