The fourteen casos on the list for the Arbitration Court were added to today when reference was filed in tho tailoresses and clothing trade disputes. The Drainage Board met to-night and defined all the suburbs as in the outer drainage area. The Board then decided to make a rato of 4d in tho £ on annual rateable property in the city, and 2d in the outer area.
For the D.J.C. Meeting Jupiter has been scratched for tho Cup, Canteen for tho Publicans and Jockey Club’s Handicaps, and Tho Serf for tho Bracelet. In connection with the banquet to bo given to the Premier in the first week of next mouth the Executive Committee decided to-night that there should bo a banquet and conversazione. The banquet programme will be comparatively brief, and will be followed by a conversazione, which will give an opportunity to large numbers of the general public to attend and meet the Premier.
A man was found dead in a hay loft at a farm near Mosgiol. He was given permission to sleep on the promises on Friday, and nothing was seen of him till his body was found last evening. He has not been identified.
