Indignation Meetings.

A patriotic demonstration was held in the Town Hull, the Mayor presiding. Resolutions moved by Messrs Barton and Reid, and supported by the State Premier and the Leader of tho State Opposition, were carried, expressing appreciation of tho Imperial policy on tho war in South Africa and confidence in the humanity and valor of the people and soldiers of tho Empire. Tho building was packed, and the audience included many members of the Commonwealth and prominent citizons. Tho speeches were strongly patriotic, and in denunciation of the slandors on the army. The proceedings wero marked with much enthusiasm. London, Fob. 17. Indignation meetings against the slanders on the British troops have been held at Riversdale, Oudtshoorn, Simonstown, and Port Elizabeth, Cape Colony.
