By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Feb. 18. The Daily Telegraph, dealing with tho limes’ suggestion that Australia should consider legislatively tho legitimate susceptibilities of Jiipan in connection with the Anglo-Japanesc treaty, warns Australia against the likelihood of the. Japanese Government using the alliance to press for a modification of the legislation excluding Japanese, and the possibility of the American Government proving amenable to pressure. It concludes : “ The determination of the people of Australia has suffered no modification. Tlioro is no possibility of their considering foreign susceptibilities to the extent of tolerating an immigration of colored people.”
