THE MEAT CONTRACTS.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Feb. 18. The Agent-General has cabled the Premier stating that the Australasian AgentsGeneral interviewed the Under-Secretiny for War with reference to the meat contracts, and were informed that a revision of the contract was impracticable, but tho War Department would get regular reports from South Africa as to the country of origin of the meat suppliod, and would communicate with the Agents-General if any difficulty arises, or tho provision in regard to colonial meat was not fully complied with.
