(Special to Times.; Auckland, last night.

Mr H. 11. Cooke, formerly of the linn of Graham, Pitt, and Bennett, at Gisborne, and who is now secretary of the New Zealand Portland lenient Company, left for Gisborne this afternoon in connection with the Cement Company’s business.

OIL LAUNCH,

Mr James lieid, boatbuilder, of this city, has now under construction a handsome little oil launch to the order of a Gisborne syndicate. Tho launch will be completed in three weeks, when JMr Reid will take it to Gisborne.
