GREAT EARTHQUAKES.
MANY HUNDREDS OF LIVES LOST. A TOWN DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Feb. 16. Earthquakes destroyed Shemakah, a town of Trans-Caueasia. Two hundred bodies have already been dug out of the ruins, and hundreds more perished. Twenty-five thousand inhabitants are without food or shelter. The earthquake shocks constantly recur.
