A RETURN OF EXPORTS.

Napier, last night. At the quarterly meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, which was held to-day, the returns of exports for the quarter ending 31st December last, with comparative figures for the same quarter of 1900, were laid on the table. The totals were for the last quarter of 1901 £161,'795, as against .£179,907 for the last quarter of 1900. The chief items in the list are :—l9Ol : Wool, 17,403 bales, value £105,771; mutton, 26,400 carcases, value £14,158, and 15,411 pieces, value £1213; beef, 7003 pieces, value £16,040; timber, 1,253,178 feet, value £4057.
