MR BOLLARD’S VIEWS. By Telegraph—Press Association.

Auckland, last night. Mr John Bollard, M.H.R., in opening the Avondale show to-day, announced his intention of endeavoring to secure legislation providing for the establishment and subsidising of fruit and jam factories in the colony, in order to deal with the surplus fruit on the market, and provide for export trade. He advocated combined action of the members for the interested districts in the direction indicated, also the union of farmers and fruitgrowers.
