THE RAILWAY.
(To the Editor of the Times.) Sir, —Private holders of property are being rather peremptorily called on to clear away noxious weeds. Is it not unfair that there should be any exception made as between State aud private holders ? The railway line is now being left as a place for weeds to accumulate and cast the seed over the land of the industrious farmer. It would not matter if the line were simply left to be over-run with grass —that would be of use—but no one can say that weeds are acceptable.—l am, etc., Farmer.
