Saunders took five wickets for 73, Collins three for 02, McAlister one for 9, Warne one for 25, Luver nil for 9. Victoria, in their second innings, have lost three wickets for 239 —Worrall 100, McAlister 7, Stuckey 15, Warne not out 09, McCormick not out 27, extras 15; Tho wicket was good, Mears played a dashing innings. Worrall collared the bowling, and recalled his, palmiest days. Due great hit for 5 struck the pavilion thirty feet above the ground level. Ho gave a chance at 07, but otherwise his innings was faultless. He was at the wickets an hour and fifty-two minutes, and hit nineteen fourers.

Andrews (captain), W. Andrews. McConnell, Cumming, Dodd, Roderick, Seymour, Featon ; emergencies, Howard, Hawkins, and Nasmith. Tho Kaiti toam against City has been selected as follows : —Lyttleton, Porter, Fairlio, Seymour, Crawford, Blair, J. Colebourne, Graham, and Gibson (3). A match is to be played on Saturday between a team representing tho district and a team from off H.M.S. Penguin. The team to represent the district has been selected, and considering that no County players are included in the team it is fairly representative of cricket in the Bay. The match should bo a good one, as we understand that the bluejackets can raise a team that will do credit to the lads in navy blue. The Selection Committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, Messrs Cumming, Macdonald, and Gibson, met yesterday afternoon and picked tho following team; Barlow, Cole, Dodd, Fairlie, W. Gibson, J. Gibson, Hodge, Macdonald, McConnell, McCredie, and Porter, with Kretchiner ajid Lyttelton as emergencies. Seating accommodation is to be provided for tho ladies, and there should be a large gathering of spectators. Afternoon tea will be given by the Association. Major Winter is to act as umpire for the local team.
