Wellington, last night. Tho tonnage of goods handed at Port Wellington by the Harbor Board during 1901 was 283,666 tons, as against 253,058 tons for 1900. The quantity of wool and hemp for tho year was ; Wool, 116,594 bales, as against 120,703 bales ; hemp, 48,615 bales as against 68,589 bales. Coal shows an increase from 61,436 tons in 1900 to 62,070 tons in 1901, and timber, inward, increased from 3,056,764 feet' to 3,539,293 feet, while timber, outwards, shows a decrease from 1,421,268 feet to 841,817 feet. The profit and loss account of the year Bhows that after payment of all charges there was a credit balance of £1940. Balance of assets over liabilities had increased by £6790, and the estimated balance of assets on 31st December over liabilities amounted to £194,066. The amount written down for depreciation was £15,019 and the sum of £IO,OIO was spent on repairs and maintenance.
