Thomson, A. R. McNab, M.H.R.’s, went on a visit to the district to-day to see the needs of the districts in relation to the extension of the Catiins River Railway. REPUDIATING SLANDERS.

At a preliminary meeting of citizens today a committee was appointed to make all arrangements for a mass meeting tomorrow to protest against the slanders on the soldiers of the Empire in connection with the war in South Africa.
