A QUESTION.
(To tlio Editor of the Times.) Bin, —As a traveller in Now Zealand, seeking tojsnow the manners and customs of the peoplt here, it has come to my knowledge that a certain influential resident of Gisborne, who, it appears, has been livingjainongst a circle of good, kind friends, and has consequently incurred more liabilities than ho cares to liquidate, is receiving tho aid of his adviser and , intimate friends, who are going tho rounds of tho town, getting his creditors to sign a clear discharge of his debts. Now, Mr Editor, I would like to know if this is tho usual modus operandi in such cases; because, if it is so, I should like to bocomo a permanent resident of Gisborne, upou such easy terms of liquidating my liabilities.—l am, etc., • New from Home.
