Farewell Handicap, 7 furlongs : Moturoa, 7.12, 1 ; Onutac, 7.11, 2 ; Fair Joss, 7.12 (and Bib over), 8. Also started—Liable and Taplow. In the straight Moturoa pulled out and won by a length and a-half, Fair Jess being a length away third. Time, 1.34. Divs., X 5 8s and X 7 4s. D.

Time 1.34, div. X2 14s. Boatman’s Handicap: Cora Linn 1, Oyster 2, Scdgebrook 3. Won on the post. Time 1.-16, div. XI 17s sd. Farewell Handicap : Tho Master 1, Ilaria 2, Lady Dundas3. Exciting finish. Won by a head. Timo 1.32, divs. X 7 11s
and XI 2s. The sum of £6157 was put through the totaiisator for tho meeting. Tho following is a description of tho race for the Thames Steeplechase : —At tho double jump opposite tho stand, the second timo round, All Fours came to grief, and after ono attempt to get over he was withdrawn. On coming up to the thorn fence, after passing the straight, Straybird and Scallywag both ran off. On taking the post-und-rail jump Evermore fell, and this allowed Cronje'to run homo the winner by considerably more than tho length of tho straight, whilst Evermore, who had been remounted, was a similar distance ahead of Scallywag, who had again joined in tho race. Time 6.40, div. X 4 Bs.
