A FATAL ACCIDENT.

CHILD KILLED AND LADY SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Justin Pratt, a carpenter, was driving his wife and family from Crufton to Wellington on Saturday afternoon, when the blinkers came off tho horse and the animal bolted, in the Kaiwarawara Gorge. The vehicle struck a fence, and the occupants were thrown out. Mrs Pratt suffered concussion of the brain and some internal injury, and a child named Myrtle Pratt, aged 11, was killed through the rail of the crap falling across her chest. Tnero was no change in the mother’s condition this afternoon.
