IMPUDENT ROBBERY.
A KLONDYKE CONSPIRACY. PLOTTERS FLEE TO AMERICA. By Telegraph—Press Association -Copyright Ottawa. Nov. 2d. The Fenians who founded the order ol “ The Midnight Sun ” lied from Dawson City and Skagway to America, owing to tho revelations made.
A cablegram published in Saturday’s Times stated: —Advices from Seattle state that the miners belonging to a secret order known as “ Tho Midnight Sun ” have conspired to overthrow Canadian authority. An inquiry into tho matter is proceeding.
MAN DRUGGED, AND HOUSE ROBBED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. An impudent robbery took place at Addington on Friday night in a house managed by air Code. Mrs Code disturbed a burglar who was rilling the promises, but he made good his escape with Lb in cash. It was then discovered that Code had been drugged, aud he did not recover for a long time.
