A motion suggesting that the export duty on dressed timber and a substantial duty on undressed, the revenue to be applied towards ro-forresting, was held over till the next meeting. It was resolved to protest against the proposed amendment of the Stamp Act, and also against the practice of bleeding of sack grain on ship board in order to fill up corners, the grain being, after the discharge of the ship, swept up and rebagged with all dirt, and deprecating shipment. It was decided to draw the attention of the Minister of Agriculture to the practice. '
