LIEUT.-COLONEL PORTER. (Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. News received from’a Gisborne sergeant of the Seventh Contingent to day states that Lieut. Colonel Porter, of Gisborne, has re-joined the Seventh Contingent. THE MO-VJWAI. Uneasiness is increasing at the result of cables received to-day announcing that fears were entertained at the non-arrivaj of the Monowai at Hobart, the Monowai having left the Blufi on Tuesday evening last. She would bo due on Saturday morning at Lin; latest, the average time I for the trip being under four days. The steamer is now six days out. The vessel does not call at the port. A telegram 1 received by one. of the Gisborne Times j correspondents in Auckland three days j previous to the Monowai sailing, from a i member of Musgrove’s Grand Opera j Company, that has just concluded a New I Zealand tour, stated that the company were leaving the Bluff by the Monowai, so it is evident Musgrove’s are aboard.
