The Wool Sales.
IMPROVEMENT IN PRICES.
By Telegraph Press Association Copyrigh London. Oct. 11. The Bradford wool sales arc chiefly speculative : common sixtys averaging lsid to UM. and supers IS.LI to lOld. At the wool sales the prices compared with July for tine Merinos were fully 10 dor cent, higher, and the medium low 71 per cent, higher.
Crossbreds sold somewhat irregularly ; tine averaging b to 7 \ per cent, higher, and medium and low sorts generally lost the opening prices. There was a decided improvement in lambs wool, which is 10 per cent, higher. The quantity catalogued to date is 270. CG1 bales; sold to Home buyers 140,000 ; on the Continent, 12 7,000 American, 4000 : held over, 44.400.
Mr Eiiott. manager for Dalgety and Co., informs us that his firm are in receipt of a cable from London to the atleet that superior Merinos are at -> per cent, advance ; faulty Merinos and line crossbreds show an improvement of 7.5 to 10 per cent., and lambs' wool 10 per cent. ; coarse crossbreds are o per cent, lower than last sales.
