HAWKE’S BAY SHOW.
A PHENOMENAL SUCCESS.
FOURTEEN THOUSAND PERSON'S PRESENT. j Special to Times, j Napier, last night. Phenomenal success attended the Agricultural Show. Friday’s attendance is estimated at from 42,000 to 14,000 people. Tile gate takings amounted to X 440, an increase of XL.V2 on last year's receipts. Hawke's Ray is now looked upon as the yearly netting ground for all the best North island breeders, who this year were very strongly represented ; indeed, Wairarape. Rangitikei, and Manawatu in particular all sending their full quota of both exhibits and visitors. This friendly reciprocity between the provinces is calculated to do an immense amount of good to each of the A. and P. Society’s interested. A visitor from England stated that the Shorthorn cattle exhibited in Hawke's Bay would have scored in any show ling in the Old Country.
