(By Telegraph —Press Association.) AVellington, last night. Tho meeting of the Institute of Accountants concluded this morning. Tho principal business was the adoption of a memorandum to Parliament setting forth the need for postponing the presont Companies Bill, v ith the view to having a Consolidating Act prepared for next sossion.

The Sononm's mails, which left Auckland on 27th July, arrived in London on the afternoon of tho 28th inst., four days late.

The Council of tho Institutcof Accountants ,Ims made tho following appointments to the Executive : President, Mr W. 11. Gundry, Christchurch ; vicePresident, Mr W. R. Holmes, Auckland ; Treasurer, Mr C. P. Powlcs, Wellington ; Secretary, Mr C. D. Morpeth, Wellington.
