OBJECT TO PROPOSED AMENDMENTS.

Dunedin, last night. On behalf of the Dunedin branch of the Now Zealand Accountants and Auditors’ Association, a telegram has been sent to Sir Joseph Ward, pointing out the injustice to professional accountants that would result should the proposed amendments to the Companies Act, relating to audits and liquidation, become law.
Nautical Enquiry
ERROR OF JUDGMENT,

Christchurch, last night. A nautical enquiry re the schooner Jessie Niccol was hold at Lyttelton this afternoon. The Court found that Captain Brown had made an orror of judgmont in altering the course when of! Capo Campbell, but the error was not of such a nature as to warrant dealing with his certificate, which was returned. Ho was ordered to pay the costs of the enquiry.
