Dairy Industry.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. At the Dairy Exhibition 16 entries woro received in butter and nine in cheese. Tho competition in butter resulted in a win for the Moa Farmers’ Dairy Factory, Inglewood, with a total of 94 points ; the Bangi-whia-Buahine Dairy Company second with 924 points. In cheese, Mr N. K. Henderson, Akaroa, was first with 95 points ; Mr A. Skerman, Hunterville, second with 92.1 points ; tho Feathcrston Dairy Company third with 914 points. The third annual meeting of tho Factory Butter and Cheese Makers’ Association was held to-day. The following officers were elected: President, Mr J. Young (re-elected); Vice-Presidents, Messrs. M. West (Ngaire), G. Valentine (Taranaki), W. Gill : (Oamaru); secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Wright (Normanby); auditor, Mr James (Stratford). The roport and balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of iilO odd, was-adopted.
