Increase of Wages.
By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Melbourne, May 24. At a conference of shipowners and the Seamen’s Union the owners agreed to raise the wages of seamen, firemen and trimmers to seven pounds per month from July first. They also - practically agreed to adopt what is known as the New Zealand ship.
