DELIRIUM TREMENS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Wellington Hospital Trustees have agreed to provide temporary accommodation for delirium tremens cases if the Government will supply attendants.

Timaru, last night

Tho Timaru Hospital Board have instructed the resident surgeon to arrange to treat delirium tremens cases, and to engage a male attendant, the Government promising to pay expenses. Whether he treats them at the hospital or gaol is to be left to the doctor’s discretion. A committee was appointed to report on the reception or refusal of cases of consumption, the resident surgeon considering they must be treated as infectious.
