A MISTAKE AS TO SEED,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) O ■ aaru, last night. Major Keddell, S gave a judgment this afternoon imp', hint to seedsmen and farmers. Jaspar N.chols, a farmer, sued the New Zealar. I Loan and Mercantile Agency Comp -iy for 4)89 0s Sd, lost through the firm supplying him with purple mammoth top turnip seed instead of Devah Greystone. The crop failed to last in the winter, and plaintiff sued for loss sustained by the death of sheep and by forced sales. The magistrate gave judgment for the plaintiff for tho full amount, with 4)20 0s Sd costs. Leavo to appeal was granted.
