By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Auckland, last night. At Rewa river, Fiji, a coolie sought the affections of a married woman during her husband's absence. His attentions were apparently reciprocated. Another coolie, a female, threatened to inform the husband. The three went into a house, when the man sharpened a knife, saying he intended to get food. He then attacked the woman first met, and severed her head from her body with one slash. The other rushed outside. The man caught her, and took her back to the house, with some trouble, slashing her about the arms and head, and in tlio dwelling lie almost repeated his first performance, leaving her head hanging by a small piece of skin. He was arrested without trouble. The second woman was slashed horribly, her left hand hanging by a thread, and her right arm being slashed. There were fifteen wounds in her head.
