NEW REGULATIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The new regulations, under the Land for Settlement Act, wore gazetted tonight. WOWSERS’ COMPENSATION. It was also announced that the Workers’ Compensation for Accidents Bill comes into force on Juno 7th, and the regulations are published. HARBOR BOARD. The Harbor Board decided to-day that it was undesirable to support the proposal of the Westport Harbor Board to have legislation passed providing for the payment of Chairmen of Harbor Boards. WAGES OF EMPLOYEES. A special Committee appointed to enquire into the subject of the wages of employees recommended that no increase of pay be given,'-but that certain concessions be made in the matter of uniforms.
