DEATH OH A STEAMER,
A WOMAN’S SAD FATE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. Louisa Dickens, a married woman, who was accompanied by her son, a lad of 13, died on the steamer Monowai on the passage from Melbourne, under circumstances that necessitated an inquest at the Bluff. The post-mortem disclosed an extensive lung trouble and peritonitis, but the cause of death was rupture of a perforating ulcer on the stomach. A verdict was returned accordingly.
